Outlook 2000 – The view is damaged. Default view settings will be used.

Had a user using this obsolete version of Outlook. I recreated the Outlook profile but that didn’t fix it. I Googled it and found a solution that worked for me. Here it is…

1. Close out of Outlook
2. Click Start
3. Click Run
4. Type outlook /cleanviews
5. Click Ok and Outlook will open
6. The “The view is damaged. Default view settings will be used.“ error should be gone!
