Windows 7 – Turn Off / Turn On / Disable / Enable UAC (User Account Control)

Ok, so you’re getting this A LOT and tired of it!  I completely understand.  Here’s how to disable or turn it off. ***WARNING….I’m just showing how to do it and I’m not forcing you to do it.  If you decide to do this, you are freely doing it on your own***  I disabled mine because the pop-up below was pissing me off.

Here’s how!

1. Click the Start button (the circular Windows button on the bottom left corner)
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click User Accounts and Family Safety *If you are on a domain, click User Accounts
4. Click Turn User Account Control on or off (type administrator password if you are prompted to do so)
5. Clear/Remove the User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box to turn it off (or check it to turn it on)
