Photo Editor is removed when you install Office 2003 or Office 2007

I upgraded a user’s Microsoft Office 2007 the other day and the user started to complain about not having the Microsoft Photo Editor.  I didn’t believe the program was gone, nor did I really care but it’s my job so I had to figure it out.  Anyways, after surfing the net a bit….I found out that the Photo Editor actually gets removed when you upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007 and replaced with Microsoft Office Manager.

I doubt many people will have a problem with this but there it is.

Here is the Microsoft article regarding this issue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817095

I’ve been using office 2007 for more than a year now and from what I noticed, the Office Picture manager is basically the same as the Photo editor from the previous MS Office. Photo management is easier and more efficient than the previous version but not much of a difference for editing photos.
