how do you deal with being bored at work

I know from time to time….you might get bored at work….maybe some are bored more than others. Sometimes you feel the workday will never end……
So how do you deal with the boredom at work? Is there something you do to liven the place up? Do you call in sick to get an extra day off?
Here are a few things I have done to get through the monotony:
- brought some music from home and listened while i worked
- got off my ass and did more work-related things that involved …well….getting off my ass
- daydreamed about being at home
- daydreamed about what i would tell people at work if it were my last day at work
- annoyed the hell out of co-workers

I usably get involved myself talking to some of my forgotten old over phone; some times they get surprised how I remember them even after such a long time. They feel happy and so do I
