I had the active desktop recovery problem also. I changed the background on my desktop and the white screen and error message dissappeared. I haven’t rebooted yet so I don’t know if this is a temp fix or permanent.

Thanks so much for the help. Could not open desktop.htt file (fix 1) due to server restrictions, but fix 2 (setting radial to zero) worked perfectly. Thanks again.
