Backup your blog online

Ever wonder how you would go about backing up your blog? Fear not! I stumbled upon BlogBackupOnline this morning. It’s a website that allows you to backup your blog…..online. Currently, it is a free service while they are in Beta and registration was a piece of cake. Your account gives you 50MB of storage space.

The site allows you to backup, restore, and export your blog. I have registered but have not had the time to use it. If you end up trying it out, let us know how it went! Also, once you kick off the the initial backup, it backups up your blog everday. According to the documentation, it views your RSS feed and updates anything new since the previous backup. I think this is a great no hassle service. I’m not sure how much the service will cost after Beta but it’s worth a look!

I’m such a security freak. In theory this sounds wonderful, but my reality says that after awhile of utilizing this service, one day I’m going to Google something and my entire blog will come up now being purported as owned by someone else.

I’ll stick to my current method for now.
