How to deal with a difficult boss
Once upon a time…in a galaxy far far away….there lived a boss that didn’t care about anyone except himself. He thought his point in life was to screw all his employees over on a daily basis and to throw his “power” around.
I think you know the type….the type that takes credit for his employees’ achievements and blames them when he screws up. The type that doesn’t know shit yet finds a way to hypnotize upper-management into believing that he is all-knowing. The type that expects you to know everything yet doesn’t offer any type of training what-so-ever.
Now remember, this is all make believe….there’s no such thing as a difficult boss…and if there were….then this whole world would come to an end….well…maybe not to an end but it would make life a hell of alot more difficult than it already is.
So how would you deal with this make believe type of boss? Do you ignore him/her? Do you quit? Do you speak with HR? (LOL…yeah right…they are as crooked as this make believe type of boss) WHAT DO YOU DO?
I honestly don’t have any ideas or tips. Do you???
You do not have permission to send on behalf of the specified user
you have go to be to @^@#&^#&@* kidding me…..that’s what I thought when a user called me and said they could not send an email as himself. I was like BS…I didn’t mess with your exchange permissions. One excerdin pill for my headache and three hours later….I found the solution that worked for my situation (I’m not saying that will work for YOUR situation..but it DID for mine)
Anyways, the PC stored the password for the exchange profile and I ended up adding another profile and deleting the initial profile (cause I messed up)…and now the PC still had the old password saved but using the new profile…so now the user received the now infamous “‘You do not have permission to send on behalf of the specified user’” message.
**The Fix**
1. Go to Start -> Run -> Type control keymgr.dll
2. Now you can either delete the stored password for your FQDN exchange server or edit it and make sure the username and password are correct
Hopefully this helps someone!
You might be training your future boss if…
1. You are assigned to show the new guy what you do and how to do it….
2. The new guy keeps criticizing the way you do things…
3. Every Monday morning you hear the new guy talking about how he went golfing with your boss…
4. The new guy laughs at every “joke” your boss tells…
5. Your boss keeps complimenting the new guy…
Shit happens...deal with it. I've heard it all....or at least I'd like to think I have....................................................
